Online Education Specialist, Owned Media

I design, research, and write specialized educational content for Hootsuite Academy– working with a team of motion graphic editors and LMS specialists to build best in class Online Education for Social Professionals. 

I meet and interview diverse groups of subject matter experts, turning their knowledge into comprehensive videos that showcase software and marketing best practices. I help to maintain our rigorous production schedule, and manage a stable of freelance writers who contribute to our educational content. 



Client Services Consultant, Enablement and Training

March 2016 - November 2016

Worked directly with clients to develop customized training plans for their teams and deliver training on the QuickMobile platform via Webinar or in-person sessions. Delivered weekly internal training sessions and supported employee training and on-boarding.

Designed, scripted, recorded, and edited training videos and resource documents for the company’s help guide using Camtasia and Madcap Flare.



Creative - Trainer

October 2012 - March 2016

Translated technical concepts into easy to understand terms, working with empathy and care in challenging situations. Provided in-person training on the entire range of Apple's hardware and software in 30, 60, and 90 minute appointments.

Trained in adult education and learning techniques through an exclusive on boarding course at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, California.

Worked with Apple's Business team to facilitate customized training sessions to large and small companies on a variety of subjects including Film Production, Office Productivity, and Social Networking. 

Organized and coordinated Apple's Field Trip program, involving communication with private and public schools to build curriculum that fit with their unique needs.

Pioneered a weekly internal training program, providing sessions on new products, training techniques, and software to a store of 100+ employees.

In March of 2016 I worked with Oakridge Centre and the Van Gogh Museum to design a course that integrated Van Gogh's painting style with modern technology. The curriculum tI designed and implemented was rolled out in 27 sessions to over 600 students from across the Lower Mainland.
